Action Platforms provide funding and other resources to support systems change efforts in various issues and locations. They include:
Issue Affinity Groups
The Forum is establishing multi-sector Affinity Groups in specific issues (such as health, education and economic equity) where funders and nonprofits collaboratively identify, fund, and learn from systems initiatives that address root causes of complex problems in their fields. The Groups will be member driven and will integrate efforts across issues to ensure wholistic solutions. Each Group will also share its initiatives with outside networks of foundations, corporations, high wealth donors, family offices, investors and government agencies for co-funding. Learn more about the health, education or economic equity affinity groups.
Place-based Work Group
Community-led collaborations are an increasingly popular strategy for pursuing system approaches to shift fundamental structures but often struggle to attract funding and multi-sector participation. Through a Work Group and a place-based platform the Forum will provide supports to place-based initiatives to help them learn from peer efforts, apply effective practices, access TA, attract funds and form multi-sector partnerships. The intent is for community-led, place-based efforts to proliferate and serve as learning labs for how systems initiatives can work within communities.
